It’s Good Dog! and renowned dog authority Dr. Stanley Coren is on the case. The programs are themed around issues such as dominance, grooming, aggression, etc., and in each episode Stanley visits the homes of two different dog owners to help them with training challenges or to give them advice on doggy concerns.Informative, lively and sometimes funny or poignant, the viewers see these dogs in action. Stanley provides general advice and demonstrates training techniques with his own dogs: Odin, his 6 year old rambunctious flat-coated retriever; Dancer, his two year old Nova Scotia Duck Toller; and Wizard, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Stanley helps the guests work with their own dogs, and at the conclusion of the program, he also provides tips and demonstrations on everything from brushing your dog to playing safely with your dog. Dr. Coren is a professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia. He is well-respected for his knowledge of dogs. Best known for his internationally best-selling book, "The Intelligence of Dogs," his most recently released book is "How to Speak Dog." Dr. Coren is an instructor with the Vancouver Dog Obedience Training Club. He and his dogs have participated in and have also won many dog obedience trials and competitions held under the auspices of the Canadian Kennel Club. He and his dogs have also been members of numerous award-winning Precision Dog Obedience Teams.
